PREPARATORY MEETING LJUBLJANA
It was the preparatory meeting of our project.
On the first day, they picked us up from our hotel and took us to school. It was a school on the outskirts of the city. There was a short welcome ceremony. After the school principal's welcome speech, we met with the school's project team. Afterwards, the students introduced us to the school. The students' English was excellent. We toured the classrooms and other departments at the school. The school was organized almost completely according to all the needs of the students. The classrooms were large and bright and the number of students was half that of ours. Various educational materials were available in the classrooms. |

The school has facilities that we do not have, such as art room, library, atelier, computer laboratory, kitchen class, gym, dining hall. Children eat their lunch in the school cafeteria for a small payment. Classes enter the cafeteria in turn, and students help the staff to get the food trays. During our mobility, we ate our lunches at school. There were sports areas and playgrounds outside and the school was surrounded by green areas. The school had a separate teacher and student entrance and a parking lot. A significant part of the students come to school by bicycle and scooter. When entering the school, students take off their shoes. They wear socks or pantuffs. The hallways are wide, and children's personal lockers stand in the hallways. There are hangers at the entrances where they hang their coats. The corridors are so wide that table tennis and badminton can be played. The school toilets are clean. The school has a huge gym and all kinds of sports equipment are available. There are also portable stands.
WE LOVED THE SCHOOL.
In the afternoon, our project coordinator Maja Bergant explained the project, our tasks and activities in detail. Then the project logo was chosen. The logo designed by one of our school's parents was chosen as the project logo.

Afterwards, we visited the area where they planned to build the open classroom and the garden in the schoolyard, and exchanged ideas.
In the evening, we made a tour of Ljubljana and our hosts gave information about the city. The next day, we presented the drafts of the open classrooms and gardens that we plan to build in our schools. Our coordinator made a presentation on Impact and Evaluation. Afterwards, we talked about and determined the promotion of the project, its dissemination, the surveys to be made, and the division of tasks. |
On the third day, under the supervision of the school's art teacher, we covered a table given to us with broken mosaic pieces. It was a very fun and creative work.

In the afternoon we determined the tasks, activities and dates of the next meetings. That evening, we had a wonderful meal of traditional Slovenian cuisine prepared by the school's food teacher. This meal contributed to the development of relations between the participants

On the fourth day, we visited the parts of the school that we could not visit and observed a lesson of the 1st graders. It was great that the teacher taught the numbers up to 5 with a fairy tale and games.
